What you like about walking football

I like  the opportunity to play football both competitively and recreationally at a pace that is specifically for women over 40. Watching games and tournaments is extremely exciting. Seeing new clubs emerging each year gives me a good idea how much women enjoy football.

What you like about Steppers: I love being part of a community that raises the profile for Women of Colour in Walking football. The recognition we receive from other clubs. Being part of building a legacy.

What you like about walking football Walking:
Perfecting each game, like artwork. The “movement” and sisterhood of walking women’s football.  The limitlessness of age- i.e.  being put out to pasture being a thing of the past!

What you like about Steppers:
My teammates. The solidarity. The banter. The music. The multi-talent. Everything! Love it!! A team for the soul. My weekly ‘mind-body-spirit-community’ vitamin kick start to the week.  And can’t forget the good tunes in the backdrop of training on Sundays! Love the music!!
